Why we’re here
Let me be honest with you about why this exists.
It isn’t the money. It never was.
In 2008, my sister, Jennifer Rose, was diagnosed with cancer. I watched someone I love suffer, and I went looking — desperately — for anything that could ease her pain. That search led me deep into the science of the plant, and into a calling I never expected to carry. A fire was lit in me — and it has never gone out. Jennifer passed in 2010. But the work she set in motion didn’t end with her. It became my life.
Over the last 18 years, I’ve sat with thousands of people in pain — people the world had run out of answers for — and watched plant medicine give them something back.
I think of Larry. A retired police captain, his body taken over by Parkinson’s — the tremors, the rigidity, the loss of his own voice. One drop of cannabis oil quieted all of it in minutes, until he could speak, and breathe, and be still. That moment has been seen by millions of people around the world. I count myself lucky to understand what it really means.
I think of Luke the Brave — Luke Langohr — who carried one of the most severe forms of Epidermolysis Bullosa, a disease that turns the skin itself into a source of constant pain, and met every day of it with a grace that humbled everyone who knew him. For Luke, and for the families who refuse to give up, even a measure of relief is everything.
I’ve seen it so many times I can no longer call it coincidence.
There is so much suffering on this planet right now. I see it everywhere I look. And I believe the medicine our ancestors trusted for thousands of years — honored, and made safe and consistent by modern science — has a real part to play in easing it.
That is the whole reason Diamond Medicine Technologies exists. Not to sell you something. To carry forward what my sister began, and to help people find relief — the way she helped me find my purpose.
